COVID-19 has created hardships for our community, but it has also brought us together like never before. Our members' generosity and compassion has been overwhelming, and we truly appreciate your support. In the month of April, our Givable community came together and raised a total of $6,001 for local organizations!
The difference we make is exponentially greater when we collectively give as a team, and with Givable's donation platform you can continue to positively impact our city by giving to vetted St. Louis nonprofits. We are committed to supporting these organizations, and we will continue to be a part of the growing happiness, healthiness, and strength of our city!
We also want to hear from you about how we can improve Givable's email giving program. Please take this 3 question survey to let us know what features we should add as we undergo a technology upgrade.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Last month, we started highlighting charities that need your help now more than ever. Due to COVID-19, many have been forced to close their doors, stop providing services, and cancel important fundraising events. Check out this interview with Mathews-Dickey Boys' and Girls' Club's Sara Paracha to learn about what the Club is doing to support local youth and how you can help during this time.
We plan to share video features of at-risk organizations each week. Stay tuned and follow us on social media. By sharing these posts with your community, you will play a vital role in positively impacting St. Louis!

LEARN ABOUT THE CARES ACT
One of the best ways to protect you and your family during this time is to stay educated. The CARES Act was signed in to effect last month, and it offers economic assistance for workers, families, and small businesses, and preserves jobs for American industries.
On our website we have outlined how nonprofits and other businesses can retain current employees and rehire ones that were furloughed or laid off using the new CARES Act. This includes receiving forgivable loans if you use the money for specific things outlined by the law. Read more on our blog!
